Am I an Indigo child? 10 powerful signs

Have you been asking yourself, “Am I an Indigo Child?” There is a lot of confusing information out there due to the subtle nature of the soul, so before we delve into the telltale signs of an Indigo Child, I want to give you my take on why this question is not an easy one to answer.

Young soul or young person?

To really get your head around the concept of an Indigo Child or Indigo Kid, it helps to separate out and clarify three things: the age of the soul, the number of incarnations on the Earth and the age of the person. An Indigo Child combines an old soul that has only incarnated a few times on the Earth (potentially this is their first incarnation) with a young person. This combination of factors explains many of the characteristics of an Indigo Child, from the composition of their aura to aspects of their personality.

As a new Star Seed, an Indigo Child will access their gifts relatively quickly because they have much less of a karmic burden than typical or old soul Star Seeds. This explains why they often reveal themselves in childhood. Indigo Adults are likely to have spent more lifetimes on Earth and have more karma to work through before their gifts become clear.

Star Seeds appear to have been sent to Earth at this time with powerful spiritual gifts, and this is where the Indigo comes in. - Indigo Children are spiritually aware from a young age, and this can lead them to conclude that they are more highly evolved than those around them. However, they can lack Earth wisdom which only comes from many incarnations on this planet.
You have high expectations of yourself and others
- Whether they were sent here or chose to come, Indigo Children are on a mission and they have no time for messing around, especially if other people are dishonest or playing games.
You want to overthrow the system
- Indigo Children know that the current system we live in is outdated and holds us back from spiritual evolution. They are driven to change things up which can manifest as a strong dislike of authority figures and archaic institutions.
You are smart – and headstrong!
- If combined with a strong Manipura (solar plexus) chakra, the clarity of the Ajna chakra can manifest as a very powerful intellect. Indigo Children are often right, and they know it!

- One of the hallmarks of an Indigo Child is a driven personality. Their Ajna chakra gives them clarity of purpose and they won’t be distracted from fulfilling it.
