Star Seeds Explained

If you have ever stared wistfully at the night sky, convinced that your real home is ‘out there’, then you could be right.

To understand the concept of Star Seeds, you have to at least be open to the idea of souls and reincarnation, because a Star Seed is simply a soul that is incarnating on Earth but didn’t originate from here. Some Star Seeds are on their first few incarnations and others have been here for many hundreds of lifetimes, which has led to them being categorised into three main groups: new Star Seeds, typical Star Seeds and old soul Star Seeds.

However, it is important to understand that the ‘new’ and ‘old’ labels refer only to earthly incarnations. For example, Indigo Children are believed by some to be old souls despite having newly incarnated on this planet.

New Star Seeds: including the Crystal, Indigo and Rainbow subtypes

A new Star Seed is someone whose soul has incarnated on Earth only a few times (fewer than five). They could even be on their first incarnation on this planet. This has both advantages and drawbacks:

Pros: A new Star Seed is more easily able to access gifts they developed on non-Earth planets. They also have little if no baggage from previous Earth lives. As such, they often reveal their nature earlier in life (hence the recognition of Crystal, Rainbow and Indigo Children).

Cons: All Star Seeds can struggle to find a sense of belonging, but this is especially the case for those in their first few incarnations on Earth. The natural laws and rules of the Earth are alien to them which can lead to frustration and conflict as they acclimatise to their new home.

In tune with the current trend for ever more specific categorisation, new Star Seeds also come in different types. I will write further articles on these sub-types, but to summarise:

Crystal Star Seeds are deeply aware of their connection to all other souls and have powerful instincts. They tend to follow their heart over their head.

Indigo Star Seeds are strong-willed and intelligent while also being sensitive. They are driven by a strong moral compass rather than material success.

Rainbow Star Seeds are infused with a powerful and compassionate energy, unburdened by the weight of karmic debt. They are naturally psychic.

Typical Star Seeds

After around five incarnations on Earth, Star Seeds become acclimatised to the particular blend of energies that this planet embodies. They can then focus on developing their soul’s mission. This is a duty of service to humanity and often involves the activation of their inner gifts (see below).

Pros: A typical Star Seed is more accustomed to the unique energies of Earth. As such, they find it easier to build a stable and fulfilling life for themselves.

Cons: A typical Star Seed may have to wait many years for their life purpose and gifts to revela themselves. Until then, they will often struggle with their feelings of not quite being the same as those around them.

Old Souls

A Star Seed that has incarnated on Earth more than 50 times qualifies as an old soul. Some old souls have been coming here since the birth of the planet itself.

As with typical Star Seeds, Old Souls often need to wait for the right time before their spiritual gifts are activated. They may need to work through a lot of past life issues before they are ready to resume their mission.

Old Souls often have a very important role in the world. This might include leading a religious movement, protecting a sacred place or providing powerful healing to many people.

Pros: An old soul is deeply committed to their duty and will not be thrown off course, no matter how much they suffer. They embody a powerful energy and can become charismatic leaders, resilute warriers or prophetic seers.

Cons: An old soul may lose sight of their purpose for many years, and even decades, due to the weight of past life experiences on this planet. They can face a life of suffering and alienation.

What planets are Star Seeds from?

Star Seeds are often connected to planets from a specific star system. These include Andromeda, Arcturus, Lyra (the Felines), Orion, the Pleiades and Sirius. There is also a group of Star Seeds, known simply as Lightworkers, that claim no specific planet of origin.

I will be writing further articles on Star Seeds from specific star systems.

Why are Star Seeds incarnating now?

Star Seeds have incarnated on Earth ever since the dawn of the planet, but they are particularly sent (or drawn) here during times of spiritual awakening. This is because they bear ‘gifts’ from their planet of origin. These may include clairvoyance, energy healing, ancestral memories and more. Some sources say that the spiritual gifts that Star Seeds bring are ‘encrypted’ until the time is right for them to be activated.

As with most unreferenced content I post on this site, this is my understanding of Star Seeds based on general research in this area. I keep an open mind on the existence of Star Seeds.
